"To the World you may be just one person, but to one person you are the world"

It is said that love manifolds when there is a short separation. It sure did and there is no doubt about it but at the same time , it did bring in a lot of pain and loneliness. Blame my emotional weakness or watever. I so wanted to pen it down the year that went by when me and arun had to leave far from each other. Itz very personal, yes! To some its weird to pen down the emotions but to me, its a memory , just like how we capture photos and make an album so as to look through when you want to.

It was really exciting when he cracked GMAT and even better when he got placed in HEC. God forbid the effort he had put in to get that "offer letter" from HEC. All was happy and gay until the day when he boarded the flight to Canada. Nope! There was no departing drama at home / at the airport. We didn't cry at all. Coz we sure cant bear to see each other crying. Most of the times I keep asking myself, what hapnd? Y did I let him go? Y did i even let him pursue GMAT? Whats wrong with me?? And everytime smthing tells me that he has gone there to live his dreams ( he always wanted to MBA) . So, a bit of satisfaction that I was able to be part of it too. The silver lining being that its just for an year which will go in a jiffy.. swoosh!! But it did not. The days moved like a snail.

First few months sleeping alone made me insane. Everything in the room and in the house reminded of him. Even worse when ppl showed sympathy. Missed every lil thing he did to me from start of the day to end. I felt naked with no emotional support.. No one to lean back upon for any help. It was just me!!

I had to finally take up the difficult decision of quitting the company to find a new job closer home so that I don't have to worry about commute. Lucky for me, got the job. Also, there  it is, my dad's bike! My boon. I wonder how did I gather the courage to drive the bike in a traffic. I was a "L" board but the will to be independent pushed me to go out and drive. I did .. I was successful and now I'm fearless when it comes to driving. Yet! There were days when I so wished and cried tat he was not there to pick and drop me at railway station / bus stand while going out of town, days when I wished that he was there to take care of me when I was sick , to Take me to doc and so on. It all made me realize that I'm nothing without my spouse! He is my better half and one who completes me.
Then came a silver lining, i decided to visit him in December. My most cherished days. Never felt so happier cooking fir him :)..freaked out a lot. Like any other fairy tale, my holidays came to an end but it sure was a breather for both of us.

Down with 10 months and now 2 more months to go before I meet my eternal bliss :).. The irony is that 10 months passed faster than I thought it would and 2 months are passing slower than I thought it would be.hmm..The months gone by has brought a change in me...some good and some not so good, I think. It was an eye opener in a  way which helped me to understand that I have to be independent and I can't expect support from anyone. I feel lonely ..weekends are never the same. It is just me ,me  and me with my laptop. I seem to have lost interest in almost everything. This loneliness is creepy! So desperately waiting for my swt heart to cm back home soon so that I could get back to my old self. I thought its easier to convince myself to get involved in some hobby to kp myself busy but it isn't so easy. Trust me! With no Friends around. It makes it even more difficult.

Here I am, with a new job and with a count down fir his arrival.  My new job is wat that kept me moving. Luckier yo be part of the team were there is 0 politics , lot of encouragement and surrounded by frnds who ensure to kp me smiling. It is fun at work. Literally! You learn and at the same time fun. Icing on the cake is the wonderful manager I get to work with :). I wonder if is this how a smaller company works or is it that I got lucky. Hmm... let me njoy it as long as it lasts and I hope its forever ;) eee... God! was after all not so harsh on me. He got me into a right job at the right time. Love his plans!

My best suggestion to all is to have "0" (ZERO) expectations from people around you. It is only your spouse who completes you and who can be there for you at all circumstances. People are busy and they have their own priorities. Juts be prepared to be independent.

"To the World you may be just one person, but to one person you are the world" Very true!.

My Angel...On Earth - My Mom

My mommy dear... I would call her as my creator..My inspiration..my care
taker..defender..selfless..etc..the list goes on.
Yup!she is everything. They say that mothers are substitutes for god.Yes,she truly is!

My mother is a tiny women, but has such strength when dealing with what life threw/throwing her way.
Growing up, our home had always filled with love and laughter. The angel in our life taught us what the world is and for her , the world is her family. She isnt't a working lady but does have an important profile "home maker".Trust me it isn't easy to run a house all alone.god! I didn't realise it until I got married(Well..fortunately I have help in the form of 'Maid' now.:P).

Those were days which I would call as the "Golden Days" when we were pampered N pampered N pampered. We used to get dropped by our mom to school everyday and then we used to get fed by mom in the afternoon during lunch and soemtimes get picked up after school by her as well( or we get a ride back home by dad). It never mattered to her whther it was sunny or rainy. She was there for us EVERYDAY!.  She is such an amazing lady! She stood by us at all times.Even during the financial crisis, she stood by my dad, giving him valuable suggestions and strength. She is strong in discipline and taught us how to deal with things/people which got us due respect from others.IF not for her, we would have been one among those spoilt child. We learnt when Not to cross the line.

I remember the days when she had to put up
with all our tantrums(me and my sister used to fight
over every petty issues :p).

I remember the days when festival used to be such
an eventful day with mom getting up early
morn,the rangoli,the incense stick smell,lotsv yummy
dshes cooked and laid out on plaintain.Slurp!..

I remember the days when we used to go out for picnic's
and it was such a delight to watch mom n
dad smiling.

I remember the days, she used to stand by the gate everyday
when we were leaving to school/college/work
with her charming smile.

I remember the days when she used to stay up all
night if we were sick and was making sure that
we were comfortable.

Love you mummy.Your love for us is selfless. I pray and will do my best to keep you smiling always. Your smile means a lot to me. I will always stand by you at all times. If not for your guidance then I wouldn't have had this blissful married life. Thanks Mommy...

My Friend..My Partner

Here I am..Back to Blogging. The most difficult part of blogging is..how to start?..and the rest is easy.It just goes on and on...I will be talking about the second most important man in my life.(Its 10:30 PM here as im writing this blog)

I met him at my work.In my dream company and luckily in my team.Little did I know that this guy:- a cute, french bearded, happy go-lucky character wil be my life partner.I never knew that i could fall in love with a guy so much that it goes to an extent where i cant imagine a life without him.(Now I know that all that they show in movies R not blunders)

He was one sooper smart guy in our team, was passionate abt work and sometimes works all nite.Loves wat he does.ya alwas used to sponsor for tea-breaks ;)..one hell of an enthu guy in our team.Intially i used to feel that this guy had loadsv attitude coz i still remember at tea breaks,he used to talk abt his dads business, the money, cars with one of my colleague and I was getting bugged listening to it(I would only be sipping tea/coffee with nothing much to do..rather than hear to wat they spk).As and when we got along as good frnds..My outlook about him changed..he is a charming guy who would to go to any heights to keep his folks happy,a forgive and forget kind.I had started admiring him..

It was in Infy where our love sparked and bloomed..ah!don you feel that it went on smooth. We did have our share of hardships in our relationship. All the while he was firm in his decision but I was confused.Fluctuating my decision and ultimately ended up hurting him badly.I still regret for it.He loved me all the time,..no matter how much I had hurt his ego.How many guys would me like him?Na..I have not seen anyone.I alwas believe that its his true love and his belief that got us together.
I still remember the day he proposed me..He had asked me to come early the following day coz he wanted to speak something important. We went over for a cup of coffee.we were there seated in a table facing each other.Just when he was about to start.somebody came in..tats it..again a silence in the room. The gal took her coffee n left.I was fiddling with the mug.and then he was like "Mams(tats how he calls me)I love u and I want to marry you and I want to spend rest of my life with you"Tats it.It was too much for me.I had a shiver running down my spine.I didnt know how to react.I was only smiling.
It took me sometime(or rather months) to realize my Love for him.I realized it in the days when we were not in talking terms(well the reason??..confused ME).
After months of turmoil.we got back together..and tats when I realised what a gem I would have lost due to my stupidity.

His love for me is so true like it alwas was.I feel really lucky to have met him in my life.Somebody with so full of patience and who is living for my happiness.I could never dare to hide my feelings from him.He could guess it correctly(everytime) just by listening to my voice over phone. One person who was by my side at all my painful days.Just wants to see me smiling all the time..He is so full of fun to be with and I Love him a lot.

Its such a great feeling to be with the one u loved and if he turns out to be all you expected ur dream guy to be.what more can you ask for?He is much more than i expected my husband to be.A good son for my mom,a great jeeju for my sis and an awesome hubby for me!I really donno how he gets all the patience for my troublesome character.
With such a sweet heart beside me..I feel so happy and LUCKY..

I Love him very much..This blog is just not enough to speak about my hubby..

My Dad The Best

True to its caption "My Dad Is The Best". A great human being and a wonderful father. A man of principles. Every individual feels that his\her dad is the best. Similarly i feel that my DAD is the Best..This is the first time im writing a blog and im happy that its for my dad.

He has gone through lots of struggles as a young boy. Earning for his studies and still managed to be a top ranker. A man who taught us the definition of Honesty. He is a Hard working person. My dad was working in a public sector where employees are flooded with money during internal elections. I mean the nominees bribe people with about 1000 to 500 bucks, parties n even gold coins (sounds interesting hahn??) But my dad never takes even 1 pie from any of them. We are so proud of him. I would like to mention one small incident here which had a great impact on me.During such an election at his work place.. I had been to my friends place where my friends mother whose husband is my fathers colleague told me that her husband got about 2000 bucks so far(she was very happy coz thatz 'extra' money) and that one of the nominee was giving away a gold coin too. She was trying to be very generous by saying that her husband has reserved 1 gold coin for my dad as my dad was on leave. Here comes the best part.. I told her "Auntie yenga appa adellam vanga matanga. Avangaluku pudikadu" (Auntie, My dad doesn't take bribes. He never likes it)You guys missed the dumb struck reaction on her face.hehe.. He is one of those few people who never likes to sit idle and get paid for it. Instead he works hard and finishes his work on time.

He is our best friend. My parents give equal importance to both of us. I pester my dad a lot. He has lotsv patience. The moment we come home.. we start our regular routine of commenting on all wat had happened from morning till evening. Be it having stupid fights with friends or doing something naughty in class. Everything that is. Seriyana Blade poduvom. My mom will escape into the kitchen but my poor dad will not be spared. The best part is that he gets involved into the conversation. He gives us so many surprises :-) be it buying a sofa or a bike or a cot. He never tells us before hand. Not to mention that he is one great cook. Experiments nallavey pannuvaru. But surprisingly its very tasty. When he is with us,he is just an another kid. We fight, we play, we irritate mom.. Its Fun...

When i was working in Infosys[Love the place..Fond memories..mmm..Now don ask me y did i quit..:-)] I usually come home at 9 or sometime later than that too. It takes 3 hours for me to reach my home as my office is in electronics city and moreover traffic(u know about Bangalore). Also the bus doesn't drop me closer to home so its a routine to call up my dad as im nearing the bus stop. Even before i can come..my Dad will be waiting at the bus stop. No matter how tired or hard the day was for him. He will be there for us. Even if he is in second shift( starts frm 3 P.M to 11 P.M) he takes time off to come out so as to pick us up from the bus stop and drop us home. Ain't he sweet??..He never shows his work pressure at home.

While at home he is always smiling. As i say 'just an another kid'. I love him for that. Oh yeah i have to mention this that while in second shift.. he will always be running about feeding us in the morning coz u see naanga rombo busya ready agitu irupom ;-) [I know seriyana somberinu nenaichirupinga]. When it comes to shopping i take a long time to shop and the only bakra at home is my dad :-). The moment i utter the word shopping everybody runs away. But obviously il pull my dad coz i don want to walk. I want to go by bike. Well that makes my shopping a lil easier ;-)

Its awesome to see my dad smiling. I loove his smile. He will be the first person to encourage us. Even if we hesitate to do something. He encourages us so much that it works wonders. One of his best character is his habit of keeping things neatly and in order. He doesnt like things misplaced. He was always proud of us for what we did and it was very nice to see the proudness on his face.. be it joining a nice college or getting placed in a good organization or getting laurels. We would to anything to see the happiness on his face. He always ahd confidence on us and that his daughters are no less then men.

For what we are today the only reason behind it,.. is my lovely DAD. The things which we learnt form him is something which keeps us going on in life. Not to fear for anything, to be brave, not to expect anything form anybody and many more. He may not be alive now. But he is still afresh in our memories and is still around us. Ever since he passed away its been a roller coaster ride for us. Many people have tried to pull us down. But we were able to stand up strong and the reason again is our DAD. We can still sense him through the people who help us and who are still helping us. He will always be with us. We love him loads and will miss him forever.

He is our Role Model and we are the Luckiest. Love you Daddy...
